There are two steps to take when you need support for GIPTables Firewall. First of all, you should read the documentation. Almost half of the questions regarding the firewall have an answer in the documentation pages. Second, you should subscribe & send an email to the GIPTables-Users mailing list giptables-users@lists.openna.com. More information about the GIPTables Firewall mailing lists is avalable here. When posting to the mailing list, try to be clear, concise, and give enough information to enable people to help. Stating something like "It doesn't work. Help!" is unlikely to elicit any useful answers. Describe your problem as completely as possible, including what you think is wrong, what behavior you expect, and any relevant error log messages or debug output. Here is what you should attach to you email when you will send a help request to the list:
Mailing lists There are two lists available for GIPTables Firewall: GIPTables-Announce Mailing List giptables-announce@lists.openna.com This list is for announcement of new versions of the GIPTables Firewall software, errata, bug fixes, etc. This is a low volume list that we think all users of the firewall should be on. Anyone interested in GIPTables Firewall news should subscribe to the list by sending an email with a subject of "subscribe" to giptables-announce-request@lists.openna.com. GIPTables-Users Mailing List giptables-users@lists.openna.com This is the main list for general discussion about GIPTables Firewall software. Users of GIPTables Firewall that need help or that can provide help for others should subscribe to this list. To subscribe to this list, peoples must send an email with a subject of "subscribe" to giptables-users-request@lists.openna.com. To post to this list, people must send their email to giptables-users@lists.openna.com. Please read this section before sending any help request to this mailing list. Mailing Lists Archives Non-subscribers who want specific information on a topic can search through archived postings without actually subscribing to the list. Each GIPTables Firewall list is archived. The archives can be browsed and searched via the web.
